Most mods here can be safely installed with the Nexus Mod Manager, but not all. "Nexus mods": have most new mods and some classic ones. "Morrowind Modding History"- Is the largest collection of mods with a big part of old mods and many new ones: Where to find and download Morrowind mods: esp files (what you must select/check after in your launcher or in Nexus mods manager left tab or in other mods manager programs, similary to skyrim mods) will be in in Data Files folder, but gradually, after installing mods the subfolders inside Data Folders will grow (textures, meshes, sounds, etc, etc). Steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind\Data Files, so exactly the same than Skyrim ones. Your data folder is in your Morrowind installation directory for example in steam versions usually. Most Morrowind mods, will be installed inside DATA folder (that's what Nexus manager do). Another mods need some little additional work (really little) as register the "bsa" files in the Morrowind.ini before start the game. I'm going to try to help you in both cases.Īs Craftian said, many mods can't be installed by Nexus manager, some because they are old and others, because they work differently to other mods (for example every mod or patch thinked to be installed from/to Main folder (Morrowind.exe folder) and not in Data folder (The code patch, the Morrowind graphics extender, etc or even the megacompilation that new users like to check first the MGSO, all them must to be unzipped in the main folder to start the installation after from there).

This may happen if you want to play a foreign savegame using different mods or might be caused by some technical problems of the Steam Workshop update mechanics or a mod being removed from the Steam Workshop due to legal reasons. Mods that are marked with a red triangle can't be found by the game. Be aware that it's unlikely that a mod author can test all possible combinations of mods so these indicators are a good estimation but no definitive information. There are some indicators that might serve as an orientation to estimate the impact. While in most cases it is no problem to activate additional mods at a later point of the game, deactivating mods may have a serious impact in the integrity of the savegame. Usually the mod description or the description in the Steam Workshop or download location contain information regarding load order, dependencies and incompatibilities. Make sure that you activated all dependencies if a mod requires some, too. Some other mods might depend on scripts of other mods which have to be loaded before. If you use some mods that override files of others or manipulate them by script, they might be needed to be loaded last. In many cases it is not required to change the loading order.
